Friends of Stanmore Launch

Brave souls faced the Arctic conditions to come together for a Volunteers Day at Stanmore Country Park in December. The idea to establish a Friends of Stanmore Country Park group is the brainchild of Shropshire Countryside Ranger Steve Dobbin.

Sally Themans from What’s What went to join the crew as they thinned and trimmed their way through the park. “We would encourage local people who enjoy using the park to come together for future volunteer days – no experience is necessary.
