August 2012 was an exciting time for Ruth Burley as she launched her company RMB Financial Planning Limited, and one of the business tools which helped her has been her membership of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.
Ruth has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry experience, in banking and as an independent financial adviser, however it is different ‘going it alone’. Ruth said: “It was quite a culture shock being self-employed and by myself. I have enjoyed my first five months trading but joining the Shropshire Chamber has made me feel part of a group. It is very different promoting yourself and your own company, but being part of the Chamber has given me support and the opportunity to grow in my new role.”
