It’s Carnival Time

Bridgnorth will see the long awaited revival of its carnival on Saturday 29 June. Floats will assemble at the livestock market with the procession setting off at noon.

Walking entries will join the procession at Westgate and the entourage will make its way along Salop Street, Whitburn Street, High Street and West Castle Street before descending to Underhill Street and the Riverside, crossing the bridge and reaching the final destination of Severn Park.

Family entertainment will be laid on at Severn Park from 1-5pm, followed by live music from 5.30-9.30pm. All sorts of activities are planned including a tug o’war competition between various clubs and groups. There will be plenty of stalls selling snacks and drinks and, of course, there will be a carnival queen, complete with princesses and princes.
