Time for tea!

Tea and cake went down a treat at a Shropshire nursing home’s fun charity tea party. Residents, staff, family and friends joined in the Time for a Cuppa initiative for Dementia UK at Oldbury Grange Nursing Home in Bridgnorth.

Morris Care’s Alison Hearle, says, “We love getting out the china cups and hosting tea parties to engage residents and bring people together. When the occasion also helps to raise awareness for dementia care, it makes them more special as it is a cause close to our hearts.

“We know the value of developing specialist services for people living with dementia because it gives real benefits. We provide compassionate care in our homes so people can live the best life possible.”

Dementia UK’s annual Time for a Cuppa takes place every year in March and encourages supporters share their favourite bakes to make a difference to the lives of families facing dementia. This year is the 10th anniversary of the scheme which has raised more than £760,000 to fund 30 new Admiral Nurses.
