Virtual Christmas lights switch-on

The Glaze family have been bringing festive cheer to the Broseley community for 25 years, raising more than £30,000 for several local charities and community organisations.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, their popular annual switch on which normally attracts hundreds of people will be live streamed this year on Saturday 5th December at 7pm via their Facebook page. The switch-on event will include special festival performances from Ben Millington and Sarah Ralten and The Endings.

There will be a Covid safe online raffle raising money for Broseley Festival CIC with several prizes up for grabs. Donations will be collected throughout December.

This year there will be some minor changes to ensure the safety of anyone visiting the display. There will be no driveway display this year at the family home of of 8 Collins Close Broseley.

The usual collection box will be regularly disinfected, and hand sanitisers will be available. People will also be able to donate online. The Glaze family ask that people do not touch any part of the display. Please remember to socially distance and follow any government guidelines in place over December.

This has been a very challenging year and the Glaze family hope to bring some enjoyment and sense of normality to everyone this Christmas season.
