Classic Ibiza renews support for charity

Classic Ibiza is returning to the stunning grounds of Weston Park on Saturday 15 July, with over 5 hours of Balearic-infused dance music headlined by the 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra (USO).

The family-friendly concert is pleased to announce that it will continue to support Dougie Mac. This will be the third consecutive year that Classic Ibiza has partnered with the charity that supports local people and their loved ones living with life-limiting illness.

In 2023 Dougie Mac is celebrating a huge milestone as it marks 50 years since the hospice first opened. In its first year the hospice cared for 315 patients – 50 years later, Dougie Mac supports around 3,000 local people across Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages every year. All services are provided free of charge and are available to people of any age, from children to adults, who need the hospice’s specialist care and support. This care is delivered at two sites in Blurton and Trentham, as well as in people’s own homes.

The charity’s Donna Adams says, “We are so pleased to be partnering with Classic Ibiza at Weston Park for the third year in a row. The support will help Dougie Mac to continue providing the excellent care we are renowned for – thank you to organisers who have made this possible and to everyone that makes it such an enjoyable event.”

There will be various fundraising initiatives taking place on the evening, including a £2.50 donation from every programme sold, a recommended £5 donation from press and guest-list entries, as well as collection points at all entry and exit gates. Further funds will be raised at the Dougie Mac shop, selling a range of fun merchandise.

Classic Ibiza’s Lisa Ward adds, “Dougie Mac is an incredible charity providing much needed support in the local area. Having grown up in Staffordshire, I’m very familiar with the amazing work that they do. Demand for our show at Weston has once again been strong, so we hope to help raise even more money for this extremely worthy cause.”

Gates open at Weston Park at 5.30pm, with the show starting with a Chill-Out DJ Set. Former Pacha Ibiza resident, DJ Jose Luis then takes control of the decks for his Afro/Latin House Set. Next up, USO and DJ Goldierocks take centre stage for the Sundowner set, followed by Goldierocks’ House DJ Set. The show then reaches a rapturous crescendo as USO return to the stage for the Dance Set, accompanied by an awesome laser and light show. This year’s concert includes 15 completely new arrangements in an orchestral programme of over 30 house classics.
