Cinderella comes to Pattingham.

Following their production of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2018, villagers from Pattingham are busy rehearsing Cinderella, a traditional pantomime for the family with four performances scheduled for the beginning of December in Pattingham Village Hall.

The pantomime features adults and several children aged 8 to 16 years from local villages and has all of the usual ingredients. There’s kind-hearted, innocent Cinderella with Buttons, the Page-Boy having a soft spot for her. Cinderella’s family includes her father, Baron Hard-up, her stepmother, Rubella and of course, her two ugly sisters, Gertrude and Grizelda. We have Prince Charming with his valet, Dandini, and a couple of barmy builders, Bodget and Leggett who add lots of comedy. Two other favourite characters include Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and the Pantomime horse, front and back.

There will be the usual slapstick scene, together with loads of panto jokes and topical humour with audience participation, suitable for children aged three and over. A live band will accompany the songs.

Performances will be at 7.30pm on  December 5 and 6, changing to 2.30pm on Saturday the 7th and Sunday 8th.  Tickets are now on sale at one price of £12 and are available online at: www.ticketsource.co.uk/pattingham-drama, or phone 0333 666 4466.
