Shropshire art duo present fifth exhibition

Shropshire artists Louise Southan and Ben Wiseman will present an exhibition at the Bear Steps gallery in Shrewsbury from 13 to 26 April.

Louise and Ben are two creatives inspired by the world around them and artistic movements such as expressionism and impressionism. They have worked together for the last four years and this is their fifth exhibition.

Louise said: “We are looking forward to the exhibition and I hope visitors will enjoy our selection of art. We very much like chatting to people when they come to view our artwork.”

She added: “I enjoy the immediacy of watercolour, but also enjoy working in acrylic and oils.  I have been an artist for over 20 years; teaching adults locally and creating my own artwork.”

Ben said: “Our subjects include abstracts, local landscapes, wildlife and flowers. I love the expression and impasto I can create with oils, but I also work in acrylic and mixed media.”

The historic Bear Steps Art Gallery and Medieval Hall is open free to the public everyday between 10am and 4pm.
