Burwarton Show – A glorious day had by all

Bur12

2013 proved a bumper year for the Burwarton Show as visitors, demonstrators and the rural community came together on a gloriously sunny day in August. Chairman Richard Yates said, “The show had been two years in the making and it was wonderful to see Burwarton restored to its rightful position as one of the best one day agricultural shows in the country.”

One of the biggest crowd-pullers of the day proved to be the newly introduced sheep-shearing competition attracting some 30 challengers, whilst the pig agility also proved popular. With a wide variety of craft demonstrations in the ‘Conservation Area’ as well as a cookery theatre with top local chefs demonstrating their skills, including award-winning Suree Coates from the King & Thai in Broseley, there was something
for everyone.
