A Shropshire company has triumphed at a prestigious regional awards ceremony and is now through to the national finals.
Good2Great, business consultants based in Bridgnorth, won the ‘service excellence’ category in the annual Federation of Small Businesses West Midlands awards.
The accolades recognise the ambitions and achievements of the region’s sole traders, self-employed and small companies.
“We are truly humbled to have picked up the trophy from the Federation of Small Businesses West Midlands,” said Johnny Themans, director of Good2Great, which specialises in giving advice and assistance to start-up companies as well as established businesses.
“Delivering service excellence to clients is the what the whole G2G team is about, especially our contracts manager Tamsin Preece who is the main point of contact with all clients when they are going through our start-up programme. We have systems in place to ensure that we think about our customer’s journey every step of the way to make sure they feel supported and because of this system Tamsin is able to go the extra mile when it is needed.”
Johnny said he was delighted to see many businesses Good2Great has helped as finalists in the awards, with Keli King of The Little Green Pantry in Wellington shortlisted for two awards in the best sustainable and new business categories and Louise Madeley of Madeley First Aid Plus in Much Wenlock picking up the trophy for best new start-up.
“What with G2G ‘Growth Club’ member Kim Gilmour as a finalist in freelancer of the year category, it was a very good day for Shropshire! We believe very firmly that the contribution small and medium sized businesses make to our local economy is vitally important, not just in financial terms but to the fabric of their communities. A strong local economy means a strong local community.
“All our advisors are graduates of our own programmes and have all started and run their own businesses, ensuring our clients have an authentic and empathetic experience,” Johnny added.
Both Good2Great and Madeley First Aid Plus will now go through to awards’ national final on May 18.
