Waste not, want not

Morfe-Road

A project to transform an area of wasteland into a communal area in Bridgnorth has been completed thanks to a partnership between local residents, stakeholders and businesses. Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing and Bridgnorth Town Council each donated approximately £1,000 to create a scenic picnic area with a wild flower garden.

The work is part of the Grove and Lodge Lane community partnership and building contractor Speller Metcalfe donated patio slabs, sand and cement, while PLS Groundworks laid the slabs.

Lodge Lane Community Partnership is working with residents to improve this area of Bridgnorth and hold regular meetings that are open to all residents. The next meeting is at St James’ Church Hall Bridgnorth on Tuesday 2 June at 9.30am.
