Telford football club nets new sponsor

A Telford football team that provides coaching for children aged 4-18 has signed up a new sponsor. Local tech firm, etaCsolutions, has agreed to sponsor the team for three years, covering the 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.

NC United FC is a community football club based at Tolkien Way, Wellington. The club currently has two pitches and a pavilion which contains club offices, changing rooms for players and officials, a kitchen, and a meeting/function room.

They have over 35 football teams which play on Saturdays and Sundays, with girls’ and boys’ teams, ranging in ages from under 7s to under 18s. NC United FC has a strong presence in the local Telford Junior and Youth League as well as the Shropshire Women’s and Girls’ League, Salop Leisure League, and Midlands Junior Premier League.

As well as providing kits and clothing for the players and coaches, etaCsolutions will also be helping to provide an IT platform on which the club will be able to grow and interact.

The club is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for youngsters of all ages who want to be part of an ambitious club. There is a growing social calendar helping to bring together players, volunteers, families, and the community.

Chairman Mark Neate formed the club in 2015 and targets include increasing the number of teams and becoming the largest grassroots football club within Shropshire.

He said of the new sponsor: “This is a very exciting time for NC Football Club. Even in the early stages of our relationship, following initial discussions with Managing Director, Darren Beetlestone, it was clear that we share the same passion for grassroots football and the local community. We look forward to building an ongoing relationship.

“At NC United Football Club our aim is to make grassroots football as accessible to as many children in our local community as possible; our key objectives in achieving this are to keep our costs affordable and to provide opportunities for children to develop physically and mentally whilst forming new friendships.

“The generosity and support from etaCsolutions as NC United’s primary sponsor will have a huge positive impact on the growth of the football club, and our current and future members of the NC Family. The sponsorship will provide the opportunity to invest in the club’s facilities, equipment, coach education and increase of players and volunteers.”

Darren Beetlestone, Managing Director at etaCsolutions, was proud to be supporting NC United, adding: “NC United FC do fantastic work within our local community; it’s wonderful to be giving them our full support. We wish all the teams the greatest success in the seasons ahead.”
