All change for rugby women’s team

The future looks bright for Bridgnorth’s successful womens rugby team who have recruited a new addition to their coaching team and have seen some changes in the captaincy. Ruth Middleton, who played for Bridgnorth and has appeared at premiership level, has taken on the coaching role. Having given up playing the game due to injury, Ruth has developed as a coach and she is currently coaching Shropshire u18’s girls and now has taken on the challenge of coaching Bridgnorth women.

RFU Community coach Tim Pickard has been also been delivering some sessions for the squad, ensuring the team has some up to date training alongside long standing coach Percy Arch. The team have also welcomed Annie Kyte as their new captain. “We very much welcome new comers to the sport, and with this coaching set up players can be sure of a fun, safe and high skill-based introduction” said spokesperson Nerys Arch.
