Partnership to meet community challenges in Shropshire

Local charity Community Resource has announced a new partnership with Telford-based ANTA Community Training CIC, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing accessible education and training.

The partnership aims to tackle the pressing challenges faced by individuals and communities across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin, including isolation, unemployment, and mental health difficulties.

At the heart of both organisations lies a shared commitment to creating welcoming spaces where people can receive the support and guidance they need to improve their lives. By combining their efforts, Community Resource and ANTA Community Training CIC will be able to provide adaptable services that meet the evolving needs of those they serve—especially those experiencing barriers to education, employment, and well-being.

Community Resource has been a trusted pillar in the community, consistently offering practical support and knowledgeable advice to individuals from all walks of life. Their values of being helpful and welcoming ensure that vulnerable individuals, whether facing poverty, disability, or isolation, can always find a point of access to essential services. ANTA Community Training CIC, founded by Craig Howard, brings its own expertise in supporting people facing mental health challenges, job seekers, and others in need of skills development. Through its growing presence across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, ANTA offers adaptable, people-centred training that builds confidence and empowers individuals to move forward in their lives.

Craig Howard, Managing Director of ANTA Community Training CIC, said: “At ANTA, we are committed to providing support to individuals who face barriers to education and employment. This partnership with Community Resource is a natural extension of our mission. Together, we can offer people the confidence and skills they need to address mental health challenges, find meaningful employment, and build better lives. We look forward to the positive impact we will make across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.”

Bev Baxter, Community Resource CEO, added: “This partnership aligns perfectly with our values of being helpful, welcoming, and trusted in our approach to community support. ANTA shares our dedication to providing adaptable services that meet the needs of individuals, regardless of the challenges they face. We are proud to work alongside such a passionate organisation, and we are eager to see the positive change this partnership will bring to our communities.”

Community Resource is also actively seeking new corporate partnerships to enhance its impact. Organisations and businesses interested in learning more about how they can support their community are encouraged to get in touch via enquiries@community-resource.org.uk or visit www.community-resource.org.uk.
