Wenlock Olympics

This year, the 133rd Wenlock Olympic Games, promises to be another exciting one marked by the return of a bowls event hosted by the Broseley Social Bowling Club. The games take place from Sunday 30 June to Sunday 28 July. The main day of the Games, Sunday 14 July will see the athletics, fencing and 7-mile road race taking place at William Brookes and the Gaskell Field. Other events taking place include archery, school’s hockey, triathlon, golf, netball, badminton, volleyball and tennis.

Visiting dignitaries this year include Geraint John, a designer of Olympic Stadiums, as well as the High Sheriff of Shropshire.
