Preschoolers will be invited to be musicians, scientists, investigators, gymnasts and artists as teachers host a discovery morning at a Shropshire school on Saturday 25 January. The Early Years team at the Old Hall School in Wellington will be leading the special event packed with activities for young children to try.
The free event aims to open a world of fun in learning for children and their parents. During the morning, they will be able to take part in a range of activities and the school will also open up its specialist music room for singing songs and playing percussion instruments.
Staff will also be on hand to answer questions for parents and give advice on how to best prepare their children for starting school next September or in the years ahead. Head of Early Years Alison Hartland-Griffiths said, “This event is all about discovery and helping children to feel more confident about the next stage in their educational journey.”
The reception and KS1 Discovery Morning will be held from 10am until 12.30pm. For details, visit oldhall.co.uk/.
