A full house

Students have gained a 100% pass rate in a new leadership and management course launched last September at Ellesmere College. The 10 pupils all finished top of the class in the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM3) course, a result which will provide an excellent foundation for their future lives and careers.

It ran through the Michaelmas and Lent terms for Y12 students and resulted in the best possible start for this new course, which is aimed at those aged over 16 who are looking to take on positions of responsibility. Head of Sixth Form Dr Tom Gareh said, “This innovative course allows pupils to gain a range of key management skills that can be put into practice, build leadership capabilities and bring out leadership potential. It also strengthens employment applications, supports and enhances UCAS along with other course applications, professional development and career progression.”
