Setting Shropshire ablaze

Celebrating their 21st year and now with nine albums, the Blazin’ Fiddles capture the excitement, sensitivity and raw fire of Scottish music. Whatever the hall, be it in a remote Highland village or London’s Royal Albert, this multi award-winning act set the hearts of their audiences alight.

Like rare single malts, each member of The Blazin’ Fiddles draws the distinct flavour of music from their part of the Highlands and Islands, giving audiences the unique opportunity to hear the regional expressions, diverse fiddle dialects and the individual style from each.

The four-fiddle frontline of Inverness’ Bruce MacGregor, Shetlander Jenna Reid, Nairn’s Rua Macmillan, and Orcadian Kristan Harvey are joined by guitar and piano from Anna Massie and Angus Lyon, where fiddles and bows ignite in a blend of ensemble and solo sets delivering an enjoyable musical evening for all. Performing at Theatre Severn on Friday 22 November at 8pm, Blazin’ Fiddles tickets are £20 and can be booked at theatresevern.co.uk or call 01743 281281.
