Together last Christmas

Last year’s Bridgnorth Together at Christmas event will undoubtedly go down as a roaring success. With a record 140 guests and 180 helpers, the event provided a ‘no questions asked’ get-together for those who needed some goodwill and company on Christmas Day.

Sizeable contributions from Bridgnorth Vets and Bridgnorth 10k runners along with many other donations from individuals and groups allowed the event to run smoothly, despite the increased attendance compared to previous years.

Pat Cole and Jess Greenhouse from Bridgnorth praised the event, saying, “This was our third time attending the Together at Christmas meal, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day. We were in great company and feel that this is such a lovely event… we appreciate all the volunteers who give up their time to help.”

Host Yasmin Tanner, a first-time attendee, said, “What a phenomenal tribute to the unlimited kindness of everyday folk! This was my first experience of Together at Christmas, something I was aware took place, but knew little about. What an amazing, beautiful, happy rewarding and friendly experience. Count me in for next year – with flashing lights and jingle bells!”
