Let’s get local!

A campaign to encourage people to shop locally and support local businesses has been launched in Bridgnorth and Wellington.

Sally Themans of Love Bridgnorth and Love Wellington is behind the ‘Let’s Get Local’ movement, which is encouraging residents to support businesses in their local towns. “People want to help their community at this difficult time and one of the best ways they can do this, especially as we emerge gently from lockdown, is by getting behind the local businesses which are still operating, even though they may not be visible.

We’re all aware that using small independent shops and chains who employ local people helps the local community, now it’s time to really support them as well as a wider range of local professionals and businesses. “It’s all about keeping the local economy going by spending locally and investing in the community. Many people will be getting on with outstanding jobs – redesigning their garden, decorating, reviewing their pension or renegotiating their mortgage.  We hope residents will use a local firms to provide these services – as well as shopping locally.
