Fantastic results celebrated

Today, Tettenhall College staff celebrated GCSE results day with pupils and parents coming together at the school to recognise the fantastic results that have been achieved.

All of our Year 11 pupils celebrated their success, having received a very strong set of GCSE results today, continuing the school’s overall rising trend in pupil grades.

100% of our pupils were awarded five or more GCSEs at Grades 9-4, including English and Maths, in spite of the exceptional circumstances experienced this year.

Delivering a full curriculum digitally for all year groups, with live teacher led lessons, is something the College is proud to have provided throughout this time.

Over 40% of the cohort achieved 10 or more GCSEs. Notably, two pupils who sat certain GCSEs early in Year 10, individually achieved an impressive 11 GCSEs in total. In addition, a healthy proportion of our pupils gained top grades 9-7, amongst their results.

We look forward to welcoming our pupils into our Sixth Form to commence their A level studies. In addition to introducing our new Year 12 pupils to Tettenhall College, many of our new Sixth Form cohort started their time at the College in the Preparatory School and they will now continue their bespoke and individual education into their A level years to complete their educational journey at the College. The personalised approach to knowing each individual has demonstrated such fundamental value and success.

Headmaster, Mr McAllister commented:

‘Pupils and staff have worked incredibly hard this year to secure high academic standards across the curriculum. These very pleasing results are testament to that effort and commitment.

Pupils should feel justifiably proud of their achievements, which give them strong foundations on which to build as they continue into our Sixth Form and beyond.’
